Salt River Elopement Arizona

Since moving to Arizona the Salt River has definitely captured my heart and you have seen many of my sessions there blogged already. I love this place not only because it is beautiful, but for the wild horses, its easy accessibility, the diverse location options and its quietness. The salt river is definitely a place that the folks of Phoenix should not take for granted.  This was a styled shoot put together by many of the amazing vendors in Arizona, lots of them can offer beautiful accents to your elopement or intimate wedding. I hope that these images can inspire some of your ideas for eloping attire, decor or an 'we eloped' announcement! Remember you get to make your wedding day be whatever YOU want!

Now, you may be wondering why I left this image unedited with trash in the river. I wanted to show and discuss the importance of leave no trace behind. Yes, this trash doesn't look good in this photo and isn't nice to look at, but it is so much more than that. It is so important to understand and live the 'no trace behind' motto. A lot of people who are apart of the outdoor culture are educated on this, but it is important for us to educate others as well. There are horses that drink out of this water and fish that live in the river, every trash left in the Salt River hurts its ecosystem. Please click this link to learn more about what you can do when hiking, camping or even eloping to keep our Earth as beautiful as it is now. You can also join a clean up with Keep it Wild and if you are local to the Salt River they will doing one of the 8th of this month! If you don't want to get outside to help you can always help by supporting business that take their profit and put it towards education, clean ups and more! Some of these companies include Keep it Wild, Parks Project, Patagonia and Cliff Bar.
