Finally in Oregon, a place I have wanted to visit for several years now! As the Montana Pritchard Photography team headed out to Sunriver, OR for a PGA event we stopped for a camping adventure in Smith Rock. I decided to bring along my old school 35mm Canon to step away from digital and the "right now" to the enjoy the moment and a lite on the trail camera. My relationship with photography first started with a 35mm Minolta and I occasionally like to shoot a roll of film to go back to the basics of design with black and white imagery. The images in this blog post show detailed moments and views during our trip. Smith Rock is known for what the state park offers rock climbers, but I must say it offers just the same to your average Joe who likes to keep their feet on the ground (this is not an insult, for I am one of those average Joes!). Our time in Smith Rock was spent drinking new wines in our tents and spots we chose to picnic at, eating delicious cheese, hiking Misery Trail and watching two adult eagles feed their 8 week old at an eye level view of their nest. Even though I had to wait two weeks to see these images, I greatly appreciate their simplicity.
